Classes and Lessons
Lindy Wagner began taking violin lessons shortly before her fifth birthday. She attended Bob Jones University for two years, majoring in violin performance, before transferring to Eastern Michigan University where she finished her undergraduate degree. She remained at Eastern to earn her Master of Music in violin performance, graduating in April 2013. At EMU, Lindy gained experience as a solo performer and as a member in various ensembles including the university orchestra where she served as concertmaster for several semesters. She also has experience playing in community orchestras and small ensembles
Lindy maintained a private teaching studio for over four years and has completed teacher-training courses in the Suzuki Method of violin pedagogy through Suzuki Book 4. She enjoys helping her students build skills on the violin and desires to give each of them a strong technical base on which they can develop expressive playing. Lindy wants her students to experience the joy of making music and to have the freedom to attain whatever level of playing they aspire to.
