Board of Directors

Each member of the board of directors serves a three-year term and elections are held at the Annual Meeting in the Spring to fill the three expiring seats.



Timothy Eisele, President


Tim Eisele has two daughters in our program. One is studying violin (and he has been working on learning violin along with her). The other is learning to play the piano. He teaches Chemical Engineering at Michigan Tech. Tim serves on our CCSA Scholarship Committee. (Term expires 2019)










Yang Ping Ou, Treasurer


Yangping Ou's daughter has been in the Suzuki program four and half years. Two years in The Music School of Delaware, and two and half years with the Copper Country Suzuki Association. Yangping enjoys every concert in which kids can learn and share music with each other. (Term expires 2018)










Allison Helman


Allison Helman has been involved with CCSA  since her son started violin lessons 11 years ago at age 4. Her daughter also began with violin at 4. They are both involved with the youth orchestra as well as a chamber group formed through CCSA. She has worked as a family physician in the area since 1999. Allison joined the board 2 years ago. (Term expires 2017)







Jon Ensminger


Jon teaches piano privately and at Michigan Tech. He also develops software for the iPad, and has a daughter who plays cello in the KYSO and Sul Ponticello string quartet. (Term expires 2018)











Ling Zhang


Ling and her children have been actively involved with Suzuki's various educational programs since 2011. All of her three kids participated in Music Together at very young ages — two of them now are playing cello and violin. Ling graduated from a medical school and worked for a Health Bureau in China before she moved to the U.P.(Term expires 2020)
